About Zessa

Zessa’s story begins on a tennis court. After 16 years of national-level play, an inflammation in Saloni Kothari’s right deltoid prompted a reset. On a naturopath’s advice, she adopted a predominantly organic, plant-based food diet eliminating milk, milk products, and wheat to calm inflammation and support recovery.

As her two sons entered national and international tennis, the search for clean, nutrient-dense foods with honest, transparent labels became urgent. What she couldn’t find on shelves, she began creating at home. The family kitchen turned into a small R&D space where recipes were tested, refined, and judged by two standards: how they make you feel and how they taste.

Over years of iterative experimentation sourcing better ingredients, adjusting textures, and dialing in flavors Saloni shaped a range that marries enjoyment with real nourishment.

Founded by Saloni Kothari (MBA, Finance), Zessa turns her non-nutritionist perspective into a strength she applies an analytical, outcomes-driven approach from finance, collaborates with experts where needed, and personally crafts every product through rigorous trial and feedback delivering a clear promise: food that’s genuinely enjoyable and transparently labeled, designed to support gut health and hormonal balance without compromise.
